The Box Hill Veterinary Hospital is among the leading Veterinary Practices in Melbourne and we have been serving our local community for nearly 30 years. We are one of only nine ASAVA-accredited Hospitals of Excellence in Victoria.
The Box Hill Veterinary Hospital is one of only thirteen ASAVA-accredited Hospitals
of Excellence in Victoria. This accreditation is awarded through an independent
assessment scheme implemented by the Australian Small Animal Veterinary Association.
This assessment takes place every three years by independent examiners and veterinary
specialists as an assurance of quality veterinary care. We have to maintain
the following standards to be awarded this status:
- Staff- Professional staff (veterinarians and veterinary nurses) and required
to undergo continuing education on a regular basis. This is also in line with
our commitment to our patients and clients; that we provide you with up to
date professional advice and service for your pet.
- Equipment- Box Hill Veterinary Hospital has excellent monitoring, diagnostic,
surgical and hospital equiupment such as state of the art xray machine, blood
pressure monitors, capnographs, pulse oximeters and infusion pumps.
- Standards- Our medical, surgical, radiological and pathological standards are
of the highest standard, with protocols based on the most up-to-date information
from around the world. We have access to the best specialists in Australia and
overseas who we are able to consult when a case requires brainstorming or further
input. Our nurses keenly ensure all patients are monitored, kept comfortable and relaxed.
