Intensive care for your pet
Special
care is required for seriously or critically ill animals.
Our dedicated team of vets and nurses devote this care to
your pets if needed, and provide medical and surgical
treatment with the goal of stabilising the
patient.
This may include
intravenous fluids and oxygen supplementation (either via a
nasal oxygen tube, or in an "oxygen tent" cage) while
diagnostic tests are being run, then continuous drug
infusion and monitoring. Emergency surgery may even be
performed, depending upon the nature of the illness.
While such times can
often be trying for both pet and owner, we will keep you
informed of your pet's progress, the costs involved to date
and any ongoing costs envisaged. We also provide visiting
hours for owners to spend time with their pets.
For pets that require
emergency attention out of our regular consulting hours,
we have made arrangements for a specialist After Hours
Veterinary Hospital to take care of our patients.
Please click here for further
information about this After-Hours Service.
While we hope that
your pet will never need any of these services, we believe
that your mind will be at rest knowing that we provide such
services should you ever need to call upon them.
